The EcoAir DD1 Classic is the quiet-alternative to the Meaco DD8L Zambezi. At 34dB it's genuinely unobtrusive, and the laundry mode works well. The trade-off is that desiccant technology warms the air slightly (fine in winter, less ideal in summer), and the humidity sensor isn't as precise as Meaco's. If the Meaco is sold out — which it frequently is — the EcoAir is a capable Plan B. For pure performance, we'd still take the Zambezi.
